Biography:
Ashley Joanna "Ash" Williams, portrayed by Bruce Campbell, is a character primarily known from the Evil Dead horror franchise. He first appeared in the 1981 film, The Evil Dead.
Ash is initially depicted as an average S-Mart employee who is thrust into extraordinary circumstances after reading from the Necronomicon Ex-Mortis, unleashing demonic forces. Over the course of the series, particularly in Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness, he evolves into a more confident, albeit still wisecracking, monster hunter.
The character is defined by his chainsaw hand replacement, boomstick (a sawed-off shotgun), and his signature one-liners.
